Strandbad Klagenfurt reports record visitor numbers for the summer season

The Strandbad Klagenfurt has reported a record-breaking summer season, driven by favorable weather and a diverse program of events. The facility alone saw approximately 452,000 to 453,000 visitors. Across all three Stadtwerke Klagenfurt bathing facilities, total attendance exceeded 650,000 guests.

Digitalization played a significant role in the season's success, with online purchases of day passes increasing by 126% and season passes by 70% compared to the previous year. The summer featured various activities, including an open-air cinema, musical performances, and sporting events such as the Wörthersee Marathon, which attracted 20,000 participants.

Operators noted that the Koralmbahn railway, which completed its first full bathing season in operation, likely contributed to the increased visitor numbers in the region.
