Strapollese 10km race to host 650 athletes in Polla

The 18th edition of the Strapollese, a 10km road running race included in the Fidal calendar, is scheduled to begin on Saturday, September 12, in Polla. The event has reached full capacity, with 650 athletes registered from across Italy.

During a press conference held at the Sanctuary of Sant’Antonio, Polla Mayor Massimo Loviso highlighted the event's role in community engagement and territorial promotion. The competition includes the ‘Mini Strapollesina,’ a program designed for children aged 5 to 13 to encourage sports participation. Additionally, a new electric school bus for the local school community will be presented during the event.

Organizers from Asd Podistica Pollese, led by President Rino Di Leo, received praise from regional athletic officials, including representatives from CONI and Fidal Campania, for the event's organizational efficiency and its impact on the Vallo di Diano region.
