Strasbourg loans Oscar Perea to Mexico, pursues Espanyol defender Hinojo

French Ligue 1 club Strasbourg has sent 20‑year‑old Colombian winger Óscar Perea on loan to Mexico's Club América. The deal includes an option to purchase and comes after the player logged only 12 minutes in the French top flight despite the club spending €3.5 million plus bonuses on him.

Strasbourg is also targeting 21‑year‑old Spanish left‑back Roger Hinojo from Espanyol. A €3 million bid from Poland’s Lech Poznań was turned down by Espanyol, which holds Hinojo under contract until 2030. Strasbourg hopes to make a higher offer to secure the defender.
