Strategic Minerals receives $9.25M U.S. funding for UK tungsten project

Strategic Minerals has announced that the U.S. Department of War has invested $9.25 million in its subsidiary, Cornwall Resources Limited. The funding is intended to accelerate the Redmoor tungsten-copper-tin project located in Cornwall, UK.

The investment aims to move the project through all feasibility studies toward a final investment decision for mining. Redmoor is described as Europe’s highest-grade undeveloped tungsten resource and one of the highest-grade projects globally. Tungsten is a critical metal used in superalloys for turbine blades, rocket engine nozzles, and armor-piercing ammunition.

The U.S. government's support reflects a strategic interest in developing a secure and resilient allied tungsten supply chain for advanced manufacturing and defense. This non-dilutive investment will support resource drilling, metallurgical studies, and pre-site development activities to fast-track the route to underground mining.
