Strategy resumes Bitcoin buying after ten-week pause

Strategy has resumed its Bitcoin accumulation following a ten-week hiatus, purchasing 4,603 BTC at an average price of approximately $80,318. This acquisition brings the company’s total holdings to 845,050 BTC, valued at roughly $65 billion.

CEO Phong Le defended the company’s recent decision to sell approximately 7,000 BTC at prices between $60,000 and $65,000 before repurchasing at higher levels. Le clarified that these sales were not driven by Bitcoin’s price fluctuations but were part of a ‘two-way strategy’ designed to meet capital costs and fund preferred stock dividends.

During the buying pause, the firm focused on strengthening its balance sheet, successfully reducing its net debt from $7 billion to zero and accumulating nearly $7 billion in cash reserves. Le emphasized that the company remains a net accumulator of Bitcoin, noting that its total holdings have increased by approximately 30% this year.
