Strategy Inc. expands Bitcoin holdings to 845,050 BTC
Strategy Inc., the largest public company holder of Bitcoin, has increased its holdings by purchasing an additional US$ 370 million worth of BTC at an average price of US$ 80,318 per unit. This acquisition brings the company's total reserve to 845,050 Bitcoins, valued at approximately US$ 66.1 billion.
The company's CEO, Phong Le, defended a recent heterodox strategy involving the sale of Bitcoin units followed by a repurchase at a price 30% higher. This move has sparked debate regarding corporate treasury management. Following this latest purchase, the company's global average price per BTC has risen to US$ 75,412.
Under a reporting methodology introduced in July 2026, Strategy Inc. now emphasizes its net Bitcoin reserves. While the gross holdings are valued at roughly US$ 74 billion—representing about 4.02% of the total Bitcoin supply—the net reserves are reported at approximately US$ 52.5 billion. This net figure is calculated after deducting between US$ 14.8 billion and US$ 15.5 billion in obligations to preferred shareholders and approximately US$ 6.7 billion to US$ 6.8 billion in out-of-the-money convertible debt.
