Strategy Inc. purchases 1,550 Bitcoin for $101 million, restores $1 billion cash reserve

Strategy Inc., the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin, bought 1,550 BTC for roughly $101 million, bringing its total holdings to about 845,256 BTC. The acquisition pushes the value of its Bitcoin portfolio to over $53 billion and restores its cash reserves to $1 billion after a recent debt‑repurchase program reduced the cash balance.

The purchase follows the company’s first Bitcoin sale in years — 32 BTC for $2.5 million — which triggered its worst weekly stock decline since November 2022, a 24% drop. Shares rebounded 3.4% after the new buy, trading above $124. At the time of the purchase, Bitcoin was priced near $63,000.
