Strategy proposes Bitcoin-based digital capital market framework
Strategy has released a 21-page Bitcoin Investor Guide aimed at institutional investors, proposing a new framework for a digital capital market. The guide positions Bitcoin as a foundational reserve asset that can support a six-layer structure including digital equity, credit, debt, derivatives, and money-like instruments.
As of September 8, Strategy holds 845,050 BTC, with a total acquisition cost of approximately $63.73 billion and an average purchase price of $75,412 per coin. While the company did not make new Bitcoin purchases in the most recent reported week, it allocated $176.3 million toward preferred share buybacks and increased its buyback authorization for digital credit securities to $2 billion.
In a broader market context, the firm Strive also increased its holdings, purchasing 1,375 BTC for $109 million during the first week of September, bringing its total holdings to over 24,500 coins.
