Strathberry secures Soho Square Capital investment for global expansion
Edinburgh-based luxury leather goods brand Strathberry has secured a minority investment from Soho Square Capital to accelerate its global expansion. The funding, sourced from the Soho Square Partnership Capital Fund II, follows an exit by BGF, which had backed the company for four years. During BGF’s tenure, Strathberry’s revenues increased more than five-fold, with the company on track to reach £50 million in FY26.
The new capital will support Strathberry’s next growth phase, with a primary focus on North America, which is currently its largest global market. The brand also intends to invest in new physical stores and continued brand development. Beyond North America, the company has seen demand in the UK, APAC, the Middle East, Australia, and Germany.
Co-founders Guy and Leeanne Hundleby will retain control of the business and continue to lead the company alongside managing director Martin Byrne. Soho Square Capital Director David Steel will join the brand’s board. Founded in 2013, Strathberry utilizes a digitally led, direct-to-consumer model and produces its handcrafted bags in Ubrique, Spain.
