Stratou Lake prepares for global water skiing events

Stratou Lake has demonstrated its capacity to host high-level international sporting events following the successful conclusion of the European U14 & U17 Youth Water Ski Championship. The event served as a critical test for the facility's infrastructure, including water quality, competition tracks, starting platforms, and accessibility for persons with disabilities.

Candido Moz, President of the Technical Committee of the World Water Ski Council, evaluated the site's ability to meet the rigorous demands of global competitions. Based on this positive assessment, the lake is now positioned to host major international water skiing events, including a significant scheduled organization in 2027.
