Østre Gasværk Teater premieres new musical ‘Olivia og skyggedansernes hemmelighed’

Østre Gasværk Teater has premiered the new musical ‘Olivia og skyggedansernes hemmelighed’, an original Danish musical drama. The production combines themes of historical witch trials in Køge with a contemporary narrative about youth and the influence of adults.

Amanda Frederikke Traun stars in her professional debut as Olivia, a girl forced to move to Køge following her mother's death. The production features music by Rasmus Seebach, Ankerstjerne, and Andreas Sommer, with new compositions overseen by conductor Martin Konge. The cast includes Oscar Stahlfest as Gabriel, alongside Lui Trampedach Mortensen, Nanna Rossen, and Sophia Ahlm Bircow.

The production is directed by Thomas Agerholm and features choreography by Nellie Bethel Rainey, utilizing a rotating wooden stage designed by Benjamin La Cour.
