She emphasized that the incident was a mistake and maintained that she does not use the word casually or off-stream.

The incident has drawn criticism from other content creators. Streamer Lacy expressed skepticism regarding Bonnie's claim that the word is not part of her daily vocabulary, while streamer Wardrobe stated that, as a Black creator, he did not find the situation funny.
