LiveU Sets Record with IP and REMI Deployment for 2026 FIFA World Cup

LiveU reported historic performance during the 2026 FIFA World Cup, deploying an unprecedented 1,700 portable field units across the three host nations—Mexico, the United States and Canada. The rollout supported 31,000 live streams and 17,000 broadcast hours for 45 countries, covering all 104 matches in 16 stadiums. The company’s LU800 multicamera unit and LU900Q smart production unit, powered by LiveU IQ AI‑driven routing, enabled ultra‑low‑latency, 4K‑ready delivery of more than 695 TB of data. Gideon Gilboa, LiveU’s commercial director for the Americas, said the deployment illustrated a new, fully IP‑based, cloud‑remote production workflow that broadcasters and independent creators alike are adopting for large‑scale events.
