Streaming platforms announce new weekly releases

Several new titles are arriving on streaming platforms this week. The musical comedy ‘Hit para Dois’ (original title ‘Power Ballad’), directed by John Carney, premieres on Prime Video on October 8. The film stars Paul Rudd as Rick, a wedding musician, and Nick Jonas as Danny, a pop star; the plot centers on a dispute over musical authorship and plagiarism.

Other notable releases include ‘Sobrevivência’, directed by and starring Ben Affleck, arriving on Netflix on October 9. Additionally, Disney+ will feature ‘VisionQuest’, while Paramount+ offers ‘Avatar: Os Sete Refúgios’. Globoplay is also adding all eight seasons of ‘The Vampire Diaries’ to its catalog.
