Media providers launch horror programming for Halloween
Various media providers and platforms are highlighting horror content for the Halloween season. Orange TV has announced the launch of a special pop-up channel, ‘Halloween by Dark’, on October 13. Available for free to its customers until November 2, the channel will occupy channel 666 and feature 63 different films, including marathons of ‘The Purge’ and the ‘Saw’ saga.
In Colombia, RTVCPlay is offering free access to a selection of domestic horror films. This includes foundational works of the ‘tropical gothic’ genre, such as Luis Ospina and Carlos Mayolo’s ‘Pura Sangre’ (1982), which uses horror elements to critique social elites.
Additionally, DIRECTV Colombia is promoting horror and mystery titles through its TV Flex subscription plans, featuring series such as ‘American Horror Story: 13’ and ‘From’, alongside films like ‘The Conjuring 4: Last Rites’ via HBO Max.
