Streaming platforms announce major OTT releases for August 17–23

Major streaming platforms including Netflix, JioHotstar, Prime Video, and ZEE5 are scheduled to release a diverse array of films and series between August 17 and August 23.

In the Indian market, high-profile releases include Akshay Kumar’s comedy ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ and Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘Jana Nayagan,’ which is noted as his final film before transitioning into politics. Other regional titles include the romantic drama ‘Chennai Love Story’ on SonyLIV.

International highlights feature the DC Studios series ‘Lanterns,’ a detective-thriller following Green Lanterns Hal Jordan and John Stewart, arriving on JioHotstar. Netflix is releasing the final season of ‘Outer Banks’ and the documentary ‘Downfall: The Case Against Boeing.’ Additionally, Pixar’s ‘Toy Story 5’ is slated for release on Prime Video.
