Streaming services announce upcoming television releases for 2026

Several major streaming platforms have lined up diverse content for 2026, ranging from biographical dramas to true-crime docuseries.

Amazon Prime Video is set to release ‘The Greatest’ on November 4, a biographical series about Muhammad Ali starring Jaalen Best. The production was supported by the former heavyweight champion’s estate.

In the true-crime genre, Netflix has acquired ‘2. 6 Seconds: Death in the Outback’ for international release. The docuseries, directed by Darren Dale, examines the 2019 fatal shooting of Kumanjayi Walker by Northern Territory police officer Zachary Rolfe. The series will explore the aftermath of the incident following Rolfe’s 2022 acquittal.

Additionally, Quinn Shephard is set to direct ‘The Body,’ a horror thriller centered on teenage protagonists at a Catholic girls’ school.
