Streaming services face content shifts and technical challenges

The streaming industry is undergoing significant shifts in content strategy and technical availability. Content libraries across major platforms are seeing frequent rotations. Amazon Prime Video is removing several titles, including ‘Silo’ and ‘Ted Lasso’, in August 2026. Similarly, various shows and films such as ‘2 Broke Girls’ and ‘Dirty Dancing’ are scheduled to depart Netflix, Prime Video, and Disney+ in September 2026.

On the popularity front, Prime Video’s top 10 list is currently led by the fourth season of the action-thriller ‘Reacher’, which adapts Lee Child’s ‘Gone Tomorrow’. Meanwhile, Apple TV+ continues to offer trial periods for new subscribers, including extended three-month trials for those purchasing new Apple hardware.
