Streaming updates: Jon Hamm series on HBO Max and MGM+ on Prime Video

The streaming landscape is seeing new content and service expansions. HBO Max has released the true crime series ‘American Hostage’, starring Jon Hamm. The series is based on a true story from 1970s Indianapolis involving radio reporter Fred Heckman and kidnapper Tony Kiritsis, who demanded an on-air interview as a condition for Heckman's life.

Additionally, MGM+ has launched as a channel subscription option on Prime Video. The service offers a variety of titles, including ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’, ‘Fargo’, and the ‘Stargate’ franchise. Subscribers can access MGM+ through Prime Video with a 7-day free trial available.
