Street Fighter 6 announces new character Arjun for October release

Capcom has announced that Arjun will join the Street Fighter 6 roster on October 13, 2026. As the second character arriving in Year 4, Arjun will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2.

Arjun’s backstory follows a former Indian police officer who is on the run after being framed for his partner’s murder. His gameplay style, centered on ‘Yoga Breathing’ techniques, is designed as a powerhouse that trades speed for heavy strikes, projectiles, and traps. A key mechanic of his kit is the ability to deal recoverable damage even when his attacks are blocked.

His move set includes abilities such as ‘Arm of Justice,’ ‘Cruel Shoulder,’ and ‘Divine Pillar,’ which allows him to manipulate the ground to create earth columns. Players with the Year 4 Character Pass or Ultimate Pass will unlock him immediately upon release, while others can purchase him using Fighter Coins.
