Street Fighter cast reportedly signed for three-film deal

Cast members of the 2026 Street Fighter film have reportedly signed contracts for a trilogy, according to actor Olivier Richters. Richters, who portrays the character Zangief, shared this information in a YouTube comment, noting that while sequels have not been officially greenlit, the actors are committed to three installments.

Richters addressed fan feedback regarding Zangief’s limited screen time, explaining that his brief appearance was intended to build anticipation for the character’s future roles. He stated, ‘If a sequel is made, Zangief will shine,’ suggesting that the character will have a much larger presence in subsequent films if they are produced.

The film’s abrupt ending and post-credits scene suggest that Legendary intended the production to serve as the foundation for a series. The realization of future films will likely depend on studio decisions and financial performance.
