Street Fighter film premieres in Hollywood amid sequel plans

The new Street Fighter film adaptation premiered at the TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX in Los Angeles, featuring a cast that includes Jason Momoa, Andrew Koji, Noah Centineo, and Roman Reigns. Produced by Paramount Pictures and Legendary Pictures in association with Capcom, the film aims to blend action and nostalgia to appeal to both longtime fans and new audiences.

Actor Olivier Richters, who portrays the character Zangief, stated that the entire cast has signed on for a three-film deal. Richters noted that while his character has limited screen time in the first installment, the intention was to provide a glimpse of his power to build anticipation for future sequels.

In the United States, the film earned $30 million during its opening weekend and reached approximately $79.6 million after two weeks, approaching its reported $82 million budget.
