Street Fighter live-action film holds Japan premiere

The Japan premiere for the live-action film ‘Street Fighter/The Movie’ was held on October 14, ahead of its global release on October 16. The event featured several cast members, including comedian Eiko Kano, who provided the Japanese voice for the character Joe, and professional wrestler Hirooki Goto, who portrays Eadmond Honda.

During the event, Kano expressed his initial disbelief regarding the role, noting that he felt as though the offer might have been a prank. Hirooki Goto, a wrestler from New Japan Pro-Wrestling, made his Hollywood debut in the film. Goto, who played the sumo wrestler character Eadmond Honda, noted that the role felt destined as he had frequently played the character in the video game during his youth. He expressed interest in pursuing further acting opportunities in the future.
