Street Fighter live-action movie prepares for worldwide release

The live-action film ‘Street Fighter/The Movie’ is preparing for its worldwide release on October 16, 2026. During promotional activities in Japan, actress Karina Leang, who portrays Chun-Li, drew significant attention during a photo shoot in Harajuku’s Takeshita Street.

At the Tokyo Game Show 2026, it was announced that VTuber Kuzuha, affiliated with Nijisanji, will make his voice acting debut in the Japanese dubbed version of the film, voicing the character Marvin. The event featured original game voice actors and Capcom director Takayuki Nakayama.

While the film features a high-profile cast including Jason Momoa, Noah Centineo, and Andrew Koji, some fans expressed a mix of anticipation and anxiety due to the poor reception of the 1994 live-action adaptation.
