Street Fighter live-action movie set for October 2026 release

A live-action film adaptation of Capcom’s Street Fighter franchise is scheduled for release in October 2026. Directed by Kitao Sakurai and produced by Paramount Pictures and Legendary Pictures, the movie is set in 1993 during the World Warrior Tournament.

The plot follows Chun-Li, played by Callina Liang, as she recruits Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo) to participate in a tournament that uncovers a criminal conspiracy. The production features a diverse cast blending Hollywood actors with combat sports figures, including Roman Reigns as Akuma, Cody Rhodes as Guile, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, Jason Momoa as Blanka, 50 Cent as Balrog, and Alexander Volkanovski as Joe.

For the Japanese audio edition, Capcom confirmed that original voice actors from Street Fighter 6, such as Hiroki Takahashi and Yuji Kishi, will return to voice their respective characters to maintain continuity for fans.
