Ströer to replace Hugo Boss in Germany's MDAX index

The German DAX family is undergoing index adjustments. ISS Stoxx has announced that Ströer will replace Hugo Boss in the MDAX, while Hugo Boss will move down to the SDAX. These changes are scheduled to take effect on September 21, necessitating rebalancing by ETFs and passive funds.

In the Austrian market, the ATX has remained near all-time highs despite minor fluctuations. Recent developments include potential index updates where Mayr-Melnhof may replace SBO in the ATX, and Raiffeisen could potentially replace Voestalpine in the ATX5.

Market sentiment in Vienna has been influenced by various factors, including EVN’s expansion into fast-charging infrastructure through the acquisition of BayWa Mobility Charging, as well as broader macroeconomic pressures such as rising oil prices and geopolitical tensions between the US and Iran.
