Stress levels and hormonal health trends impact well-being
Recent data and medical insights highlight the prevalence of stress and hormonal transitions affecting well-being. A study published in the journal Menopause involving 7,640 women in the US found that 34% of participants were uncertain about their reproductive stage, with higher uncertainty among women aged 40-44. Perimenopause symptoms, such as fatigue, anxiety, and brain fog, are often misattributed to general stress or lifestyle factors.
In Romania, workplace stress remains high. According to Gallup’s ‘State of the Global Workplace’ report, 38% of Romanian employees reported experiencing significant stress on the previous day, while 14% reported feeling intense anger. This trend has seen a slight increase from 35% in 2021-2022 to 38% in 2025. Additionally, research suggests a cycle where stress impacts sleep, and subsequent sleep deprivation leads to increased irritability and concentration issues.
