Strictly Come Dancing 2026 introduces new hosts and format

Strictly Come Dancing returns for its 2026 series on BBC One and iPlayer, introducing a significant overhaul to the show’s format and presenting lineup. Following the departures of Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman, the series will be hosted by a trio consisting of Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe, and former professional dancer Johannes Radebe.

The upcoming launch show features a new method for revealing celebrity-professional pairings. In a process described as “speed-dancing,” contestants will participate in choreographed routines where they rotate through different partners to discover their final match.

The 2026 cast includes returning professionals alongside five new dancers: Aleksandra Isaeva, Cristian Priori, Lethabo Monametsi, Maddie Ingoldsby, and Mark Karmalita. Celebrity contestants include Lacey Turner, Dani Dyer, Delta Goodrem, Chris Appleton, Cach Mercer, Will Best, Dame Sarah Storey, and Jaime Winstone.

Additionally, the BBC has confirmed a new spin-off for younger audiences titled “Strictly Pro Dance Off.” Airing on CBBC, the seven-minute program will feature professional dancers competing in interactive dance battles.
