Strictly Come Dancing announces new presenting trio

Emma Willis, Josh Widdicombe, and Johannes Radebe have been announced as the new presenting team for the BBC series ‘Strictly Come Dancing’. Willis described the decision to use three presenters as a ‘wild card’ move by producers, noting that the trio does not yet have fixed roles or a formal script.

The casting process was highly secretive, with Willis characterizing it as a ‘cloak and dagger’ operation that lasted approximately four months. To maintain secrecy during chemistry tests, candidates were reportedly given false information regarding the show they were auditioning for.

The presenters shared anecdotes regarding the moment they received the news via Zoom. Widdicombe recalled taking the call from a cemetery in Birmingham, while Willis noted she was in a salon restroom when the announcement was made.
