Stripe and FedEx partner to expand small business financing

Stripe and FedEx have entered a strategic collaboration to expand financing access for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). The partnership will leverage FedEx Dataworks, the company’s predictive-analytics subsidiary, to provide real-time supply chain intelligence—such as shipment activity, inventory movement, and fulfillment performance—to Stripe’s financial infrastructure.

This data-driven approach aims to enable Stripe Capital to make lending decisions more rapidly than traditional methods that rely on bank statements and credit scores. The joint financing venture is expected to launch in early 2027 and targets a market of tens of thousands of companies.

Additionally, FedEx will integrate Stripe as a payment-processing option, adding more than 50 new payment methods to its global checkout process. This move is intended to provide FedEx customers with greater flexibility in how they complete transactions.
