Striscia la notizia suspension leaves 200 workers without jobs

The satirical news program ‘Striscia la notizia’ has been suspended, leaving approximately 200 workers, including technicians, editors, set designers, and crews, without employment or official guidance regarding their future.

Former correspondent Alessio Giannone, known as Pinuccio, reported a lack of communication from Mediaset regarding the decision. He noted that the suspension was not announced via official press release, which is unusual for a program that has been a staple of Canale5 for over 30 years.

The program, created by Antonio Ricci, has lost its regular access prime-time slot and currently lacks a confirmed position in the network's schedule. Giannone indicated that the uncertainty has had a direct impact on the lives of the staff, as many remain without active contracts and have received no formal explanations from the broadcaster.
