Strive CEO targets second-largest Bitcoin treasury position
Strive CEO Matt Cole has outlined a strategy to potentially become the second-largest public company Bitcoin holder by the end of 2026. The company currently holds 23,156 BTC, valued at approximately $1.9 billion, following an acquisition of 3,156 BTC in August. This recent activity has moved Strive into fifth place among public companies ranked by Bitcoin holdings.
To overtake the current second-place holder, Twenty One Capital, which holds 43,514 BTC, Strive would need to acquire roughly 20,400 BTC over the next 17 weeks. This would require an average purchase rate of approximately 1,200 BTC per week.
Cole noted that over $700 million in outstanding warrants, which expire in mid-October with a $27 exercise price, could provide the necessary capital. If these warrants are exercised, Strive could potentially deploy up to $1.4 billion toward Bitcoin purchases and digital credit capacity.
