Strongylo Island in the Aegean listed for sale at €4.5 million

Strongylo, a 54-acre undeveloped island in the Aegean Sea, has been listed for sale at €4.5 million (£3.8 million) through Private Islands Inc. Located in the Dodecanese group near Patmos and Leros, the islet is being marketed as a “blank canvas” for investors interested in developing a high-end eco-resort or a private residential estate.

The island features three natural beaches, thick vegetation, and a natural spring that could provide drinkable water with basic filtration. While currently undeveloped, the site contains stone ruins of an old house and a well, which may assist in obtaining future building permits. The property could potentially connect to the power grid on the neighboring island of Marathos.

Access to Strongylo is limited to private vessels or water taxis from Patmos and Leros. While ownership details are not fully confirmed, some reports suggest the island was previously an investment of actor Johnny Depp, who reportedly purchased it for €4.2 million but never developed the land.
