Stroud community e-bike fleet expands to 18 bicycles
The Pedal Power community e-bike scheme in Stroud has expanded its fleet to 18 bicycles following long-term funding from the Gloucestershire County Council, which has secured support through 2027.
The expanded fleet, managed by the charity Transition Stroud, includes solo Gazelle e-bikes, family-friendly cargo bikes, and new additions such as a converted e-mountain bike and an accessible e-trike. The e-trike, based at Stratford Park, is specifically designed for individuals facing balance or mobility challenges.
Pick-up locations for the scheme are situated across the district in Stratford Park, Stonehouse, Horsley, Rodborough, and Brimscombe Mill. The program aims to provide more accessible transportation options to help residents navigate the local terrain without relying on cars.
