Struer to host Danish Championship in car orienteering

Struer will host the Danish Championship (DM) final in car orienteering. The exact route remains a secret until the day of the race, though race leader Poul Bo Madsen has promised a varied course featuring forest, countryside, and industrial areas.

Due to the event being held on a Friday evening starting at 18:00, the route will be shorter than the typical 80–90 km championship distance to ensure participants finish before dark. Organizers noted significant cooperation from local landowners, which is essential for the sport as routes often utilize private gravel and forest roads with minimal regular traffic.

Poul Bo Madsen is serving as race leader for the first time for a DM event, supported by an experienced management team including Lars Palle, Børge Holm, Jørn Mørup, and Niels Holst.
