Struga Banska police commemoration marks 35 years since 1991 killings

On 35th anniversary of the July 1991 deaths of thirteen Croatian police officers and one missing officer in Struga Banska, a ceremony was held with families, veterans, government officials and local authorities. Participants included parliamentary delegate Ivan Celjak, Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Davor Božinović, Police Director Nikola Milina, veteran affairs minister Darko Nekić, Interior Minister Tomislav Bilandžić, retired General Mladen Markač and others. Wreaths were laid and candles lit at the memorial, honoring the officers who fell defending the nascent Croatian state.
