Stryper announces 18th album and plans for three more LPs

Christian metal band Stryper is set to release their 18th studio album, ‘Throne of Thorns’, on September 25 via Frontiers Music Srl. The album continues the band's tradition of melodic metal and hard rock, featuring three founding members.

In a recent interview, vocalist and guitarist Michael Sweet revealed plans to enter the studio as early as January 2027 to record three additional albums. This ambitious goal aims to bring the band's total discography to 21 albums. Sweet noted that the decision to accelerate production is driven by a desire to record while the members are still able to perform at a high level, citing his own history with thyroid cancer and guitarist Oz Fox’s ongoing health issues as motivating factors.
