Strzegowo hosts historic rally finale with January Uprising reenactment
The first Historical Rally "Szlakiem Pokoleń Walczących o Wolność" concluded in Strzegowo on Sunday, 28 June. The program began with a field mass in Drogiszce, followed by a tribute to Gen. Jan Kazimierz Kruszewski (“Kruk Czarny”) at a monument in Aleksandrow. A contest for the "Most Beautiful St. John’s Wreath" was also held.
The main event, scheduled for 17:00, was a historical reconstruction of battles from the January Uprising in the Rydzów area, highlighting the actions of local hero Tomasz Kolba, commander of insurgent units in the Przasnysko‑Ciechanów region. Mayor Damian Sobiecki and Radio 7, the media patron, highlighted the significance of the reenactment for local heritage.
The rally, organized by the municipality and supported by regional institutions, attracted participants and spectators from across the country, emphasizing Poland’s commemorative traditions.
