STU48 releases 14th single with Koko Kai as center

The Japanese idol group STU48 has released its 14th single, ‘Fuyufuku ni Kigaetara’ (When We Change into Winter Clothes). The title track features first-generation member Koko Kai in her first role as center, following her return to the group in March 2026 after a period of activity with Malaysia’s KLP48.

To celebrate the release, the group held an event at the Hiroshima Station South Exit Underground Plaza. During the event, it was announced that the single reached number two on the Oricon Daily Single Ranking. Upcoming release events are scheduled for October in Okayama and Hyogo, and in November in Fukuoka.

In collaboration with Tower Records, a special promotional campaign is underway. This includes the distribution of a free magazine, ‘TOWER PLUS+ STU48 Special Edition,’ featuring handwritten comments from members Koko Kai, Sayaka Takao, Mai Nakamura, Sayaka Harada, and Ayara Yoshida. The campaign also features collaborative B2 posters and a lottery for signed posters available at Tower Records locations.
