Stuart Fails to Save the Universe spinoff to debut July 23

The sci-fi comedy spinoff ‘Stuart Fails to Save the Universe’ is set to debut on July 23 on Crave in Canada. The 10-episode series, available on HBO Max, follows the character Stuart from ‘The Big Bang Theory’ as he navigates a multiverse after breaking a device built by Sheldon and Leonard.

Actor Kevin Sussman, who plays Stuart, noted that the production involved significant action elements, including pyrotechnics, green screens, and wirework. The series features returning cast members including Brian Posehn, John Ross Bowie, and Lauren Lapkus.

Sussman also reflected on the character's evolution from the original sitcom. He explained that Stuart’s transition from a confident shop owner to a more insecure individual was an intentional creative choice by writers to serve as a counterbalance to the other characters' professional and personal growth.
