Stuart O'Reilly of Royal Mint discusses gold outlook as Sweden launches new gold and silver ETFs

Stuart O'Reilly, a private‑wealth consultant at the Royal Mint, said that gold remains a political hedge despite its price falling from record highs. He linked the metal’s resilience to ongoing geopolitical tensions, shifting global alliances and continued central‑bank purchases since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, noting that central banks are treating gold increasingly as a safe‑haven asset.

At the same time, Swedish issuer Nordheim Capital listed two new exchange‑traded funds that give investors exposure to gold and silver. The products add to a broader surge of interest in monthly‑dividend ETFs and niche funds such as space‑industry ETFs. Other popular dividend‑focused ETFs mentioned include First Trust Vest S&P 500 Dividend Aristocrats and Infrastructure Capital Preferred Income UCITS ETF.
