Studenica General Hospital invests 170 million dinars in new medical equipment
Studenica General Hospital in Kraljevo is undergoing a significant modernization of its medical infrastructure, with planned and realized investments totaling approximately 170 million dinars. Acting Director Mirjana Krčevinac announced that the upgrades include new equipment for intensive care, anesthesia, and reanimation, such as anesthesia machines, mechanical ventilators, and vital function monitors.
The investments have also improved diagnostic capabilities and surgical efficiency. The hospital acquired a digital radiographic system and a mobile X-ray machine worth roughly 16.78 million dinars, as well as orthopedic surgical instruments. A new rapid sterilizer for the eye service has notably helped eliminate waiting lists for cataract surgeries.
Additionally, the hospital has received two new medical vehicles and has reorganized its intensive care services to better manage neurology and pulmonology patients, thereby freeing up central intensive care capacity for emergency cases.
