Student arrested after Nazi salute at Eindhoven University

A minor has been arrested following an incident at the Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) where he reportedly directed insults, threats, and a Nazi salute toward fellow students during a first-year Electrical Engineering lecture.

Police arrested the student at his residence on Stratumseind on charges of making threats. The investigation is also examining racist content allegedly shared by the suspect in a student group chat. This content reportedly included maps regarding IQ levels in Africa, claims about Muslims, and footage related to the 2019 Christchurch mosque attacks.

The university's Executive Board has condemned the actions and stated that appropriate measures will be taken pending the results of the investigation. Faculty leadership has reached out to students, offering academic advisors to support those affected by the incident.
