Student awards and chess tournaments held in Argentina and Chile

In Argentina, Concordia Cooperativa held the “Hugo Solís” distinction ceremony at the Centro de Convenciones Concordia. More than 400 students from 168 schools were recognized for their solidarity. The event honors the legacy of former institution president Hugo Solís, who initiated the award 22 years ago. The distinction aims to promote social values and citizenship among the youth.

In Chile, the Escuela Carlos Condell in Osorno hosted a school chess tournament organized by the DAEM Osorno Extraescolar Unit. Over 70 students from various municipal and private schools participated across six age categories, ranging from Sub-8 to Sub-18. The competition saw high engagement and competitive play, with winners recognized in both male and female divisions.
