Student benefit distributions begin in Panama and Bolivia

In Panama, more than 43,000 guardians in Panama Centro have begun receiving PUNCH cards to access PASE-U benefits for 55,961 students. The distribution process, involving a disbursement of B/. 6,686,820.00, is scheduled to run until September 25 at the Ciudad Deportiva Irving Saladino in Juan Díaz. Specific areas have been designated for the general public and for those with disabilities, pregnant women, or specific medical conditions.

In Bolivia, the government has announced that payments for the Juancito Pinto Bono 2026 will commence on October 19. Education Minister Erick Sanjinés stated that approximately 2.2 million students will receive a total of 690 million bolivianos. The benefit amount has been increased from Bs 200 to Bs 300 to help mitigate the economic effects of ending diesel subsidies. To streamline payments, Banco Unión is introducing new digital payment methods, including mobile wallet transfers and direct account deposits, alongside traditional window collections.
