Student commits suicide in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar over low NEET scores

A 19-year-old student, identified as Suraj Subhash Shinde, died by suicide in Khandala village, Vaijapur taluka, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, after receiving low marks in the NEET examination.

According to preliminary police investigations, Shinde had been preparing for the medical entrance exam at home and was distressed by his results. Before his death, he left a two-line suicide note apologizing to his parents and stating, ‘Sorry Ai and Appa, I will become a doctor for you in the next birth. Take care of yourselves and stay happy.’

The incident was discovered by his younger sister when the family returned from a local event. Although he was rushed to the Vaijapur sub-district hospital, doctors declared him dead upon arrival. The Vaijapur police have registered a case regarding the matter.
