Student deaths and suicide attempt reported in India

Several tragic incidents involving students have been reported across India. In Ghaziabad, 23-year-old PhD student Vaibhav Singh died after falling from the 27th floor of a residential building in Siddharth Vihar. Police are investigating the circumstances, noting that no suicide note was found at the scene.

In Jaipur, Ankit Tiwari, a first-year BTech student at NIMS University, allegedly died by suicide after jumping from the 15th floor of a hostel building. Police recovered his mobile phone and are investigating the matter.

In Mayiladuthurai, a Class 12 student attempted suicide on school premises. The student reportedly felt pressured by a headmaster following an inquiry into allegations of sexual harassment involving a teacher. The student is currently receiving treatment and is in stable condition, while the education department conducts further inquiries.
