Student fatalities reported in Indian university hostels

Multiple student deaths have been reported in Indian educational hostels. In Amethi, 21-year-old Deepti Yadav, a final-semester nursing student at the Indira Gandhi School of Nursing, was found hanging in her hostel room. Police are awaiting an autopsy report to determine the exact cause of death.

In Jaipur, Rajasthan, 20-year-old Mohit Saini, a second-year student at NIMS University, was found dead in his hostel room. Fellow students alerted police after noticing a foul smell coming from his locked room. Authorities suspect suicide, noting that the condition of the body suggests he may have died one or two days prior to discovery.

This incident at NIMS University follows the death of another student, Aditya Tiwari, who reportedly fell from a 15th-floor hostel building on August 25. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding these recent fatalities.
