Student festivals and elections scheduled in Argentina

Student festivities and elections are underway in Argentina. In the Tilcara Department, the election for the departmental representative for the 2026 Fiesta Nacional de los Estudiantes (FNE) is scheduled for Friday, September 4, at the Colegio Polimodal N°6 in Huacalera. This event marks the conclusion of Caterina Monserrat Caliva’s term.

The FNE 2026 schedule includes various activities throughout September, such as the Student Painting on September 12, the Capital Election on September 13, and the National Election on September 25 at the Estadio 23 de Agosto.

In Misiones, the Provincial Student Festival has been set for November 21 in Puerto Rico. Organized by the JUPES, the Provincial Subsecretariat of Youth, and the Municipality of Puerto Rico, the event expects participation from approximately 25 student associations. The festival will feature sports competitions, including volleyball, futsal, and athletics, alongside cultural performances.

Additionally, students are launching a solidarity project to collect non-perishable food, cleaning supplies, clothing, and mattresses to assist municipalities potentially affected by the El Niño climate phenomenon, such as El Soberbio.
