Ohemaa Serwaa Abigail Owusu Ansah, a 23-year-old student, has been granted GH¢1 million bail by the Adenta Circuit Court following allegations that she masterminded the theft of GH¢1.5 million from Bishop Daniel Obinim.

Bishop Obinim, the founder of the International Godsway Church, reported that the incident occurred at his Lakeside residence on October 13, 2026. According to the prosecution, the accused was a personal friend of the Bishop and was left alone in his bedroom while he attended church. By the following morning, the Bishop discovered his safe had been broken into.

Chief Inspector Maxwell Lanyo stated that the accused allegedly admitted to inviting two men, sent by a worker employed by her father, to the residence to break into the safe. The accused faces charges of conspiracy to commit crime and stealing. She has not yet entered a plea and is scheduled to return to court on October 29, 2026.
